[This is the first time Elsa - the real Elsa, not someone from a flood - has thought to post publicly to the network in a long time. She's out and about more often now rather than hiding in her room almost exclusively, but it's still... hard. Everything about this has been hard, and she just wants it to stop.]

I've been doing a lot of thinking- [About a lot of things, but really one thing in particular.] About people with powers. People like me.

What's it like for them, in your world? If they exist.

[She's tempted to leave it at that, but.]

Most of the stories I've heard haven't been very reassuring.

[So the idea of life after the Barge is not really an exciting thing to consider.]

Yes. But I don't have the same kind of control, and I'm not a mutant.

[Although, to be honest:] I don't really know what I am.

RIght - got it. [That's okay, he'd never heard of mutants before, either, although now he knows what they are.]

You're a person with powers. That's how I see it.

And that doesn't scare you? Even though it's not common where you're from?

No, it doesn't.

Do you think it should?

It scares me.

Then other people are going to be scared, too. Does that make sense?

[Oh, he knows that you can't just turn that fear off. But if you're afraid of yourself, then it's going to show.]

Yes. I guess it does.

But it isn't something you can just... stop feeling.

No - I know it's not that easy.

[He's done some pretty scary things, too. Just in a different way.] But you either let it eat at you, or you at least try to work to accept that maybe it's not all bad. It's just a part of you. [He smiles a little.] And you don't sound like you prefer the former.

[She lets out a soft laugh, and even manages a smile, even though it's sad.] I've been letting it eat at me since I was eight years old.

[Ah.] Then maybe it's time to consider changing that.

[It's a suggestion, not a command. But he's pretty sure there are people here who can help. And she deserves that help.]

Do you have any suggestions?

[Which is asked a tiny bit wryly, because she might not fully believe there is anything to be tried here, but she wants there to be, too.]

[It's not that she's suddenly confident, or breezy, or anything more than a bit less nervous and stiff than she usually is, but the small, maybe still a little hesitant, genuine smile is still a rare sight.

She's getting better at this, she thinks. Actually talking to people.]

[Hey, it's like anything else, right? It takes practice. She's getting that in, every day she's here.
